Traffic arrangements are the same as last year – no road closures or diversions expected but stewards / gardai will be present.
Some residents stated that last year’s 2-way system was problematic, and this has been noted.
Efforts will be made to improve signage this year and this will be in place the week before the event opens.
Cow gates and other provisions will NOT be widely available this year. Any resident who has a specific concern should contact the team here and their request will be considered on a case by case basis.
The team said that there would not be any flood lights off site but a resident pointed out that one was a necessity near a busy junction and that it failed on the second night last year. The team will review this and said that if there are issues with equipment off site again, to notify them via the resident hotline (live during the event).
Residents in the vicinity of Ballinlough Castle who received tickets in previous years will again receive them. It is expected that they will be distributed from the 8th of June.
Any enquiries from residents regarding their tickets can be addressed to the team here. Please note that an Eircode will be required in your enquiry and that not everyone in the local area is entitled to tickets!
Event Management
It should be expected that there will be heavier traffic in the vicinity of the venue from 11am on Friday 16th of June.
The carparks will open at 12 and campsites at 1pm. The arenas will open at 4.30pm.
Music on main stages will continue until 2 am on the Saturday and Sunday morning with campsite entertainment continuing until 4am.
Main stages will close at midnight on Sunday and campsite entertainment will end at 2 am on Monday morning.
Local people are again invited to volunteer for this year’s festival. Although it is an over 21s event, 18–21-year-olds are welcome to apply if a guarantor will vouch for them. These will be considered case by case.
Other Notes
Capacity remains low due to pressures on post-pandemic supply and infrastructure. It is desired that festival capacity will be increased slightly over the next few years but it will not return to 2019 levels.
Residents who normally receive tickets will be able to collect theirs at the next meeting. Proof of Eircode will be required.
Residents who receive tickets but who cannot attend the next meeting will receive theirs in the days following the meeting.
Some private, individual queries were addressed to the team after the meeting had concluded.
Next Meeting
The next meeting will take place on Thursday 8th of June at 7.30pm in the Darnley Lodge, Athboy.
